Crude venom collected under sterile conditions from the Androctonus turkiyensis individuals in our colony is prepared in two forms. Every batch is characterized in an independent laboratory and shipped together with the safety data sheet, the batch analysis report and copies of the permits.

The product is for research and industrial use only; it is not for direct use on humans or animals.

Product forms

Product 01

Lyophilized Powder Venom

Freeze-dried form with a long shelf life and high stability in transport. The reference batch was analysed in this form.

Liquid Venom

Clear form stabilized after extraction without lyophilization; stored and transported in the cold chain.

Appearance
Liquid — clear

The pH values belong to different contexts: 3.5 is the general specification of the liquid product, while 5.72 is the value measured in the powder sample of the reference batch.

Why lyophilize?

Venom proteins and peptides can degrade over time in aqueous media. In lyophilization, the sample is first frozen, and water is then removed by converting ice directly into vapour under low pressure. This preserves the structure while slowing chemical and enzymatic degradation.

  • Longer shelf life and comparability between batches
  • Safer packaging and transport than the liquid form
  • Can be reconstituted to the required concentration immediately before use

Details: the steps of lyophilization and the difference between powder and liquid form.

Characterized reference specification

The values below are taken from the independent laboratory's reference batch report. Values may vary from batch to batch; every shipment is sent with its own batch analysis report.

Note. The classification refers to the safety data sheet of the reference batch. When the SDS is updated, shipping documents are prepared with the current version; the buyer should check any additional obligations under the legislation of their own country.

Buyer obligations

Personal protective equipment

Nitrile gloves, eye protection, a lab coat and, for the powder form, respiratory protection; opening and weighing are carried out in a fume hood.

Cold chain

The received sample is stored frozen and protected from light under the conditions stated in the batch report; repeated freeze–thaw cycles are avoided.

Use restriction

For research and industrial purposes only. No direct use on humans or animals, no resale and no relabelling.

Who we supply

Crude venom is supplied B2B to research institutions, university laboratories and industrial R&D units.

  1. Shipping file

Safety data sheet, batch analysis report, copies of the establishment permit and licence, and packaging and transport documents in compliance with UN 3462 rules.

  2. Quantity and packaging

The quantity is determined according to the intended use; the powder or liquid form is shipped in a primary container inside a leak-proof secondary container.

  3. Confidentiality

Information on the buyer institution and project is used only for shipping and regulatory obligations and is not shared with third parties.

Frequently asked questions

Androctonus turkiyensis crude venom is prepared in two forms: lyophilized powder (white, soluble) and liquid (clear, soluble). Every batch is analysed in an independent laboratory and shipped with its own analysis report.

The sample is stored in the cold chain, frozen and protected from light; repeated freezing and thawing is avoided. Batch-specific storage conditions are given in the batch analysis report and the safety data sheet.

The quantity is determined at the quotation stage according to the requesting institution's intended use. Sample and quote requests can be submitted via the request form on the Contact page.
